If you had to lose one limb, which one would you lose?

RIGHT LEG GONE
torn acl and the sport legs you can get are pretty sweet

sanguis:
One minor question: Is the lose above or below the knee/elbow? (doesn't affect my answer, but might others in regards to prosthetics).

My right arm is my "doing" arm.
My left arm is my "carry" arm.
My right leg is my "kicking" leg.
My left leg is ... dead weight.

So I'd choose my left arm. Losing it wouldn't terrible limit my options.
It would be the least llimiting option to movement.

I could still walk and bike. Run and ski to some extent too.

What would I lose? FPS gaming, most shooting, most fishing...nothing much else. Not so bad.

Lol, try and spend a day just using your right arm and hand, I'll spend a day limping about the place (cos that's the big difference there'd be to my current life, the speed at which I get from A to B). You're not going to be able to do ANYTHING the way you usually would, because our hands are our primary influence on our immediate surrounding.

The fact that you think not being able to play football will have a bigger impact on your life than not being not being able to function like a normal human being in everyday life stupifies me.

I have done that. Broken my right arm once. Spent a few weeks only using my left. Wasn't that bad of an experience.

It isn't about playing football or something like that. It's about losing freedom. You won't be able to get to places by your own anymore. You'll be stuck at home and rot. Talk about not being able to function like a normal human being when you can just roll around in a wheelchair...

I'm missing my left ACL so left leg. Even if I wasn't I'd choose it.

I use both my arms daily and there is no substitute for arms. I use my legs daily as well, but I could do with just a prosthetic. As for which leg, when you drive, you use your right foot for gas and break. If my right ACL was missing instead, I would still choose my left leg.

I'm thinking about getting metal legs... It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.
