School issued laptops used to spy on students as they undressed.

The Star is about the least credible news source ever.
A litigious American is suing someone, big suprise. They say it can be remotely activated and thus has been spying on nekkid kiddies.
The guy who got in trouble was probably blazing a spliff while in a net conference and was too dumb to realise someone could see him.

the star is a canadian newspaper and is not a tabloid...there are also 600+ articles about this on google news where the school has admitted that it was possible.

Apparently, it was for helping retrieval if a laptop was lost or stolen. Though the district decided not to tell anyone about this and the webcam was activated on a laptop that wasn't reported missing.
