any way to play psp games on ps3?

i was just wondering. Is there any way to  play psp games on the PS3? I do not own a psp, but the release of Lunar on it has me really wanting to snag it. I played it way back in the day but never bought it. Id love to own a copy and dont know of any other version out there (other than paying like 100 bucks for it on my PS1)

i wonder if theres an emulator version or something out there. Never buying that or Final Fantasy tactics are my 2 biggest regrets. Especially FFT. That had one of my fave stories.

I don't know it exactly but my friend bought a cable to connect either to the PS3 or the TV and played games from the PSP on it using the PSP as the controller. Of course, it's not an emulator and the graphic and resolution don't actually look good.

There is no way that I know of to run a UMD off a PS3. However, I do believe that you can download PSP games off the PSN and run it off your PS3. Don't trust me on this though, has anybody done this before?
Either way, the resolution wouldn't be too great but it'd still look better than a PSone game.

You can play PS1 games bought from PSN store, but not PSP games.

The only current way to play commercial PSP games on any system other than the PSP is via JPCSP.  Lunar doesn't work yet, but you can always play the old PSX version.

You might be able to get sega cd emulation working if you install linux on your PS3, allowing you to play the original version of Lunar.
