how good is your memory?

shabutie:
It really depends what it is.  The things that are second nature to me (Like waking up and putting on deodorant or counting my drawer at work or driving)  I rarely remember.

But I'm awesome at remember little things (That is granted... if I'm paying attention).   Important things I tend to forget... but I'll remember everything else that was going on when I was told that important thing... I think I have a severe case of A.D.D. now that I think about it...

I have a great memory for numbers, but am terrible with names. I still remember phone numbers for family and friends from when I was 5, and yet I have trouble recalling the name of someone I was introduced to 10 minutes ago unless I make a serious effort to remember it.

Proin Drakenzol:
I have terrible short term memory, excellent long term memory, and superb conceptual retention capabilities.

Tell me someones four digit extension and I'll have a hard time remembering it long enough to dial it while sitting next to the phone.

On the other hand I can remember the home phone number of my best friend through elementary, middle and high school six years after he moved out of his parents house and got a cell phone.

I also can remember the majority of rules for pencil and paper gaming systems and, at need, can summon up the equations and concepts necessary to figure out antenna lengths, types of rectifiers, types of circuit components, etc.

I'm the same. Useless with anything that I need to know. :/

I have a terrible memory for names, but I can easily recreate room layouts and navigate through them blindfolded.
