Cement + 5 foot drop

If you look closely you can see that it landed perfectly on the upper left corner, which I guess provided enough force to crush the screen. Granted it is glass so I wouldn't expect it to live through a fall.

My friend dropped it on brick the SECOND day I got mine. Mine has a nice dent in the corner, but everything help up ok. Dropped it from like 3-4 feet though... not quite 5 and not cement.

I thought it committed suicide for being next to an IPOD, or maybe just having an owner that has an IPOD.

An S9 and an iPod were sitting on a table. The iPod told the S9 a joke at 128kbps and the S9 cracked up.

Unscratchable maybe... but unbreakable... probably not. It's still glass.

But is is a sad thing to have to have significantly damaged your s9 thingy.
However, I am sure we can all relate and get back on track... :-\

Ah, sorry to start makes this topic derail.
Based on experience on my player such drop should be nothing, especially on s9 which are known to its durable screen.
I've experienced several similar impact before on my player. I always put my player on table when listening to it, when I get up to go somewhere else, I just keep forgetting the earphone is still attached on my ears and start dragging forcefully from table it until it fly and falling hard on cement floor. :P

But this one..  you accidentally 'smash' it or what? ???

Nope it was a drop. I was as surprised as you because until that time the screen was very durable and unscratchable, I even tested it with a box cutter :P

It's still glass. Scratching isn't an issue.... but Cracking might be.
