When I'm walking I often read a book. Even if I happen to be walking on an icy street. Other than that I can't really think of anything.

Not sure if this counts, but after using the toilet, I always have to wash my hands. But I don't actually use soap or anything, I just have to splash water on them and that's enough. If I don't do this I go mentally insane thinking they're dirty. It's not like splashing water on them makes a difference, but if I don't complete that ritual it's constantly on my mind driving me mad.

If I'm in a public bathroom, I won't come out of the stall until theres nobody there if I can help it. Obviously I can't do this in busy ones, but I do it all the time at uni. Just stand there and wait until anyone else is gone. I hate meeting people in the loos.

OT:  It absolutely bugs the living hell out of me when people at work walk into the bathroom while either a) talking on a cell phone, or b) talking with someone else about work.  The bathroom is the place to "do your business", NOT the place to be having conversations about business.   >:(

I don't like stepping on cracks either... but I only do that from time to time.

Hmm, let's see... well, I talk to my cat like it's a normal human, even though I know there's no way he understands me.

When I'm alone, I randomly sing whenever an urge/song comes over me.

I've had the tune from the intro from The Smurfs stuck in my head for years now. Do doo da doo doo doo, doo da doo doo doo.

It doesn't anymore, but it use to bother me walking through my house if the light switches weren't all flipped the same way.

For some reason I'll find a song I like and then listen to it non-stop for like a week, and then never again. Or at least not for a very long time.

Every time I eat certain foods, it makes me want to watch certain animes.  :-\

I hate swallowing pills. So, I still take chewable Flintstone vitamins as an adult lol.  :-[

There's probably a lot more. I'm a prime candidate for redardisms lol. :P

Oddly enough, this just made me realize that I have been whistling this tune at random times for God only knows how long, and not realizing it.  That, and the tune to "Lum's Love Song".

I think they do understand to a certain degree. When I ask them if they want food, they often jump up and go to the kitchen. This may be a conditional reflex of some sort, but considering the fact that they don't do it all the time makes me wonder how much of the human language they truly understand.

They can certainly understand the tone of your voice. They know when I'm mad at them or when I praise them. Plus, they know their own names, as they sometimes come when I call then.

Happens to me all the time. I seem to get quickly bored with my music collection.

I discovered another one while driving today.

When not doing something physically active like when I am sitting at the computer or driving I have a tendency to rub the tops of my bottom teeth against my right thumbnail. Its kind of like I am thinking but not really. I used to bite my nails and I think this is just a natural way of coping without doing so any longer.

When I am bored I roll my left index finger over my chin and, depending on when I shaved last, play with the little hairs on my chin. When I first got chin hair I didn't shave it for ages. I wanted to see how long I could go before someone literally shaved it off my face and I ended up stroking it like an old guy (except it never got anywhere near that long). After awhile I decided to shave it off before my b'day get together. The habit of stroking that chin hair remains though so even if there is nothing there I still roll my finger over it like I am feeling for it.

When concentrating, I bite my hands. If I am concentrating quite a large amount my hands will be very red and very bitten, and it hurts after but while I'm doing it I don't even notice.

If I'm nervous, I will play with the ends of my hair, or with earrings or bracelets. Playing with earrings makes your ears sore, I do not recommend it.

I sit on my feet a lot. This means I suffer from pins and needles all the time. It makes me walk weird when I stand up. I also prefer to sit on a table with my feet on a chair than on a chair. Maybe thats just my way of rebelling against being short. Sitting in a window sill with my feet on a table is even better but tends to get me into trouble.

Actually I am reasonably the same there. I hate normal chairs. So uncomfortable. I would much rather sit on the floor with my back against the chair or sit on the table or bed. Basically any large flat surface that I can spread out on if I want (though I only do half the time).  ;D

Chairs are just so.... small... Recliners are nice but I still prefer the floor or a good old bed.  :D

Symmetry;
Not as bad as Death the Kid, but sometimes I find myself placing things (ACCORDINGLY!). Mostly only when I am cleaning my room. I wish I could be more careless. :-\ It feels like an obsession at times.

I sometimes apologize to things I bump into, whether it was my fault or not. Things vary from people, walls, desks, chairs and even lampposts. It's mostly when I'm in a major hurry at school or at work or if I'm talking to a friend and get lost into the conversation. Sure I say "Sorry" to inanimate objects and people look at you weirdly, but it's funny... I guess.

Oh yeah...

I also say things along the line of, "Ouch!", when I die or get shot in video games.

My friends have called me out on it plenty of times before.

I often think of idea's for days at a time and then without warning one day I will completely forgot what I thought about. It goes like this ill have a conversation with someone from my life(in my mind) about a subject usually philosophical for a couple of days on and off but suddenly I will just forget what I thought about and the whole conversation in my head. The only thing I can remember is that I had a conversation in my head with some one I knew but other then that I draw a blank. Its to the point that if I feel like an idea will be helpful to me in my life I will write it down as soon as it comes up in the conversation in my mind. Trying to explain this just makes me sound crazy lol.

I can not sign my name never learned how to. I moved during third grade when they were teaching me then the place i moved to had already finished lol.

I don't remember in which order the months go.

I don't know how many days are in each month.

I could not point out all the states on a map. Even though I am pretty good with countries around the world.

I could not read until third grade. But by the time i was in 5th grade my scores on reading tests put me at a 9th grade level.

I wrote my S's backwards until about 5th or 6th grade. And I couldn't get my D's and B's right until my freshmen year in high school.

I can not spell half the words that I know or use in daily conversation.

Ah that's about all I blame most of my retardisms on moving 6 times from 1st grade to 7th grade. And the rest of the blame goes to me being lazy.

I have a somewhat long Van Dyke, so it is a cause for several. When I am bored or have nothing to do with my hands, I will yank a loose hair out of my beard and roll it around between my right thumb and index finger until I lose track of it. I also tend to chew my mustache and lower lip hair. It is to the point that most of the hair between my mouth and the top of my chin either has horribly split ends (from the moisture and grinding of my teeth) or has had the tip bitten off.

I talk to myself while driving alone....not a lot mind you but enough. whenever someone looks at me i just pretend i'm on a call using a hands free device.

Ha ha ha, I am used to talk to my computer when ever it does something bad. I used to with my old one as it was rather screwed up..and now I have my work comp that is just horrible and does bad stuff all the time, em the problem is that it does what ever should be done just in very very long time so I talk to it all the time. A person in my cabinet in work used to look strangely at me, then she got used to me and now she talks to her comp as well. She talks to everything that she works with at that moment. I think talking to stuff is contagious disease... I waiting that this thing will infect the other person I work with in the same room...
Beside talking to oneself should not be something one should be ashamed about. Its normal and quite useful :D

I keep what I consider '''important'' letters. ie; credit card report, insurance proof, etc a absurd amount of time. I'm currently looking down at my, 15 years old, high school adhesion form.

I also tend to pet anything that look furry and/or fluffy. -Oh look!,A nice fur coat rub* rub*

I sometimes forget to eat or drink during the day and only realize I've done so after i get light headed/headache or start feeling weak and shaky from low blood sugar.

I have to do this whenever i see something with an interesting texture.

I'm terrible with that to, I have a huge apatite but if I'm left on my own I wouldn't eat until I get like that. I usually only feel hungry when I'm tired.

I can't stand the sound of tape being peeled off. It unnerves me to the core. The sound of duct tape unraveling disturbs me as well.  >.<

When I get hot, I daintily fan myself with my hand the same way an old lady would if she was getting a hot flash. It's impossible to do this without looking incredibly effeminate. I suspect that all my friends who've seen me do this secretly think I'm gay now. T__T;
