Throw away your iPod and buy a different media player? Like the Creative Zen X-Fi2 (native .flac support). iPods don't natively play .flac and I haven't heard of any reliable hacks for it to allow it to do so. Though I've personally found it's better to just convert to .mp3/.mp4 anyway, audio files are smaller and the difference from a small media player between .mp3/.mp4 and .flac is fairly negligible.

thats what i do but when your talking about a torrent that has a lot of tracks to it its just a pain in the ass to thing to do.

if thats what you did you wouldnt have an ipod because he started it by saying throw your piece of shit ipod away and get a less retard friendly more capable unit.

There is nothing wrong with Ipods, if you wanna just play music, it's itunes that gives me the shits. I mite add the only reason I have an ipod is because I won it. As for a replacement for itunes, we have already said what you can use in this thread. I'm no expert but playing flac files on a ipod or almost any portable media player is pointless, isnt it? But sadly converting that many flac files can be annoying, I'm sure there is a way to convert them all with folder structures intact.

compared to several other audio players the ipod is still more expensive and inferior both in file support ease of transfering files to and from it, and battery life.
Like i said most of those players are just slightly less retard friendly
Xtras:
Songbird natively supports FLAC, and there is a plugin which allows it to transcode as well.

Thanks, what I needed to hear. The huge majority of users will be using onboard sound, increasing by the minute. So we should use whatever we feel comfortable with. The advantages of foobar are dwindling, with many players now being able to play flac with unicode support.
I've been reluctant to swap my Audigy from my old computer, remembering problems with creative drivers and to games using direct sound in the latest OS ...actually better support with onboard now.
So the audigy will stay in my old computer and will die with it ;)
