Cannot watch chaptered video files

(1/1)

kchang216:
I know this question has been answered before and I tried my darndest to find the thread but to no avail.

So like a lot of ppl I had the release candidate of windows 7 and didn't buy the full version until the absolute last minute, blah blah home edition blah blah had to reformat blah blah. Now I redownloaded CCCP and have no clue what settings I'm supposed to put in in order for the videos not to bug out when it goes between the show and the OP and ED credits. Mind you it does work fine in MPC but I'm one of those nutjobs that enjoys watching several episodes in a row so I like to put them into windows media player as a playlist, lie down in my bed which is ten feet away and kick back. But I can't do that cause media player fubars the video whenever the OP and ED credits come up. Again this is only for chaptered video files that have the OP and ED in seperate files from each episode. I know you guys have answered this question probably hundreds of times but again I can't find it. Thank you all for your time!

To summarize.

Cannot watch chaptered videos in regular Windows Media Player but it does work in Classic. But I'm a lazy arse who enjoys watching several episodes straight without having to move 10 feet between each episode.

Lupin:
Media Player Classic has a playlist. Ctrl + 7 displays the playlist. You can also just open the directory the files you want to watch are in. MPC will add those to the playlist automatically.

Well now I just feel like the greatest idiot in the world. Thank you so much!

Freedom Kira:
Zoomplayer will, by default, auto-play files that are similarly named in sequence (and, of course, chaptered files); for example, after playing billy joe - 01, it will look for the next logical sequential video, such as billy joe - 02.

I also find that Zoomplayer is more lightweight and powerful compared to MPC. It is, however, not freeware, so either you pay or you... find other unspoken means to get it. It used to be included in CCCP, but I'm not sure if it's been removed now.

Just throwing that out there in case you felt like trying something new.

psyren:
Are you using x64 or x86 MPC?
The x64 version of MPC does not work with CCCP, hence only the x86 version can use it and properly play back chaptered files with separate OP and ED files.
