Why do people use Google Chrome?

Just a warning, Chromium is constantly updating, like dozens of time each day. So don't come in here crying when things blow up :D.

I'm using FF and IE 8. The IE 9 previews look interesting but there's no way I'll ever use Chrome. I don't trust google

I started surfing the web using Netscape Navigator 4.0x. I actually enjoyed using Netscape Navigator. However, after some time I was eventually forced to switch to IE 5.5 (or maybe 5.0). I tried Netscape 6 when it came out and was thoroughly disappointed, it was slow and kinda buggy. Sometime around 2003, I heard about this thing called Mozilla Application Suite. It seems kind of cool, but I didn't particularly like the idea of having to install a whole bunch of other application just to get a browser. However, pretty soon I discovered a little side project called Firebird. It was still in beta (version 0.6), but it was by far the best web experience I have ever encountered. 7 years later, I am still using the now named Firefox. It's pretty quick (and the javascript engine should get another boost with 3.7), it's stable and it has awesome extensions. I also like Firefox because Mozilla is committed to keeping the web open and they were the first organization to undermine MS's monopoly (remember those IE only websites - gosh!). Chrome is a little faster and I guess it has the potential to work better with Google's services, however that's not enough or me to switch. I think I'll stick to Firefox! ;)

ok this is what i see with these browsers
IE 6,7,8 = for the people who dont know how do download firefox
Chrome= people who prefer google based services
safari = people who think using this browser will allow them to see moar animals
Misc = people who find unknown/unpopular browsers and find problems with no help
Fire Fox= Built for the User, not the other way around. Very Little Crash rate compaired to IE, decent preformance stats, and most of all. Customiseable! (not spelt right and i dont want to check)

I don't speak for others. I just use Chrome because it's speedy, and I'm addicted to speedy things.
I still use Firefox for its DownloadThemAll! add-on.
