Why do people use Google Chrome?

Really to be simple people use Chrome because its lightweight, really fucking fast, and pretty reliable.
People bitch about it because of its privacy policy(which I can sympathize with) or because people say "ROFL(insert browser)PWN, (Insert other browser)FCKINGSUCKS ROFLZ!!!" about any fucking browser that isn't there own.

P.S. I'm a Firefox user btw

Since Chrome 4.0 added the ability to use GreaseMonkey scripts (by the same person who made it), plugins, and extensions.  It's getting close to doing all the addons that are on Firefox in a short manner of time.

One feature I really like with Chrome and should be useful to those of this forum is the built in translator.  When you convert a page, you aren't sending the whole URL to be converted.  It converts the source page.  So this works nicely on sites you have to log in, and it's quick.  And after translating a page on a site, it automatically translates the rest as you browse through it.  For example, it's a breeze to go through nico nico douga's and other Japanese registration pages.  Though of course, doesn't translate images and flash ;)

And if worried about privacy, which you should be:  Just use the alternatives that this thread has talked about:  Chromium or the already compiled SRWare Iron.  They are Chrome without the snooping.  Though I suggest not trying the alpha versions.

I was comparing Chrome's incognito mode to Firefox's privacy mode.  On this game site, Muxxu, you are limited on number of accounts you can make.  Stored by flash settings and cookies.  With Incognito mode, I can make as many as I want.  Doesn't work with Firefox's privacy mode.  In otherwords, incognito mode truly removes stored information about you, unlike Firefox's privacy mode.

btw, if you use Google search, and especially the toolbar; and then complain about Chrome's privacy, is being silly.

I strongly dislike Internet Explorer that being said..... I use a browser based of the IE engine called Avant Browser.
I have been using Avant for about 7 years now. I tried chrome when it first came out and I could not stand it. Albeit since then it has chnages majorly.

I use firefox as well but not as often. The main reason for avant was back then it was the first browser I used that had tabbed browsing and even though firefox has an add-on for this now it had and still has an option called URL Alias.

I'm extremely lazy as in I don't type in a traditional manner albeit I can type fast but again i am lazy. URL Alias makes things simple instead of typing bakabt.me I type what I choose to represent bakabt.me. I type in Baka then press enter and it loads the full address for me. It's especially useful on long web addresses
such as www.anime-planet.com I just type ani then hit enter and it takes me there.  ;D

Was firefox ever not tabbed? Also, in Firefox you can add a keyword to a bookmark so that the bookmark is loaded when you put it a keyword. You can even add variables to bookmark URLs and pass arguments to a keyword (no, I do not remember the syntax for it).

Avant was the better browser for me. I'm not telling everyone to try it.
Just stating that I like this browser. Also Firefox has an add-on called URL Alias that does the same thing that avant does.....
however this has not been around for years to my knowledge.
As far as adding keywords to a bookmark this I have not done.
Probably because I only use the URL alias feature on Avant or firefox for sites
I visit on a daily basis (bakabt, maximumpc, imdb, chihiro etc.) bookmarks for me are only used on sites that
I want to keep note of in case I need to go back some time later.

Does any one know if this feature is available on Chrome?
