No, thats Xv. Also, once more, I do not have tearing issues so long as I either use "vo = gl" or "vo = vdpau". If I use Xv or X11, the video tears. vo sets the rendering method.

Hmm. Maybe VDPAU does use OpenGL to render then if you're not getting shearing.

VDPAU is a library Nvidia drivers use to offload H.264 decoding to the GPU. I thought it used X11/Xv directly to display the video but I guess it's displayed using OpenGL. Too many confusing guides on the net.
