Just wondering if anyone else has discovered this little gem.
Here's a quick description for you (copy pasted from Wikipedia):Vanguard Princess (ヴァンガードプリンセス, Vangaado Purinsesu), also known as Vanguard Princess: Senjin no Himegimi (ヴァンガードプリンセス 先陣の姫君) is a Japanese freeware dōjin 2D fighting game for Windows, developed by a single programmer and illustrator called Tomoaki Sugeno, nicknamed Suge9, and a supposedly ex-Capcom employee. The game was released on June 26, 2009 and was created using Fighter Maker 2nd. The latest version of the game is 1.05b, released on October 2009.Basically plays more like King of Fighters + Assist system from Marvel VS Capcom than anything else. All girls cast of course with panty shots galore, not to mention the most fluid and most beautiful sprite artwork I've laid eyes on. Vivid colours and extremely precise animations. Did I mention it's also free to play and download as well?

As for installation and play: You'll need either
applocale or your regional settings changed to Japanese. Extract the game to anywhere you want (preferrably somewhere in your C:\). If your regional settings are changed to Japanese (like mine) then just double click the
ヴァンガードプリンセス.exe to play. However if you're using
Applocale, you'll need to rename your
"ヴァンガードプリンセス" folder to something else (like vanpri) and your
"ヴァンガードプリンセス.exe" to something else (like vanpri.exe). Then you can use applocale on the .exe to play.
Netplay is in development (and is pretty solid from what I hear), however living in China means that it'll probably lag so I'm not going to bother.
Anyone else play this game? Even though my avatar is Eri, I personally main Lilith (Zangief's bastard child). 360 control throws are fun stuff =)
