HOWTO: Trigger a remote torrent download

I've set up something pretty useful, and I think other people may find it a helpful technique.  I subscribe to the new torrents RSS on BakaBT, and occasionally in Google Reader I'll see something that I'd like to get while I'm away from home.  Rather than trying to remember or starring it for later action in Google Reader, I've set up a way to trigger a remote download.

We all use torrent clients like uTorrent, Vuze, or Deluge.  An integral part of these clients is the ability to listen to an RSS feed and pick up new torrents that match a pattern (this is how we watch currently airing series).  Well, there a site called ReactorFeed that allows you to populate static RSS feeds with custom information.

By setting up your torrent client to listen to the custom feed you set up, and populating it remotely, you can trigger a download of whatever you like and it'll likely be ready for viewing by the time you get home.

Enjoy!

Well I have Remote Desktop set up on my desktop so I use that. Alternatively, you can set up a Web UI on your torrent client (a feature available in most popular torrent clients). Finally, you could set up your client to automatically load torrent files from a shared directory, download the file on your local machine, and move it into the shared folder.
