Seeding/Leeching etc...

So I did read the Wiki and FAQ's and stuff but I'm not very torrent savvy so just to clarify, I can't DL anymore torrents because I need to seed more so in order to do that, I just have to go outside of BakaBT, Download a torrent that BakaBT has and seed that? Can someone give me some links to help me with that?

the easiest way would be to seed the torrents you have downloaded from here.

otherwise, you could search anidb for titles that are popular on bakabt (what people are leeching), find the matching encodes and seed.

you could get familiar with fansub groups and sources/trackers this way. It does not take too much time when you get used to it.

you could try Thoranime, their work is popular here.

Checked your profile, you've already downloaded quite abit from here, just let uTorrent continue to seed for a week or so and your ratio should be fixed.

I unfortunatly don't have my torrents from previous downloads so I think I'll just go find the torrents again.

And what do you mean by encodes? As in the people who encoded it? I'm not very familiar with the word encodes...

1. Search random anime series.
2. Go on Google, search name of anime + fansub group.
3. Find batch torrent and download. If you can't find a batch, go back to step 1, or download all the individual files.
4. Finish downloading and remove the torrentfile from your client.
5. Download torrent from BBT.
6. Add torrent to your client. The Wiki covers how to reseed.

If you already have files...
1. Search for the series on BBT (i.e. search the anime title).
2. Look for a torrent that has the same fansub group as the files you have. If you can't find one, start over from step 1 if you have other files.
3. Continue from step 5 above.

Or you could try This. That page shows plenty of shows which are being tracked by the BakaBT tracker all with public passes. Not as good as the actual site of course, but it is a starting point. If you absolutely have nothing, and are feeling lazy, just download from there on the public passkey, and then come back and seed through the actual site.

Ok here is an update.

So I DLed the torrent for THORA's Toaru Majutsu no Index. I finished downloading it and now its seeding. So far the ratio hasn't changed yet. Am I supposed to do something to connect the seeding to BakaBT's tracker?

there are lots of threads about this...all it takes is some searching and reading to figure out how to fix your ratio.

Ok so I still have my files from my download of Shigofumi. I put those into the download folder where it appears when I download it. I then DLed the torrent for it from this site to try to seed that but it still didn't work. Am I missing something here?

It's possible you are not actually pointing to the right folder for the torrent;
Otherwise, you may need to stop the torrent (or better yet, don;t start it in the first place) and then force a re-check of the files.
That is, if I am understanding you correctly....

With the majustu torrent i am guessing you downloaded using a public pass key and continued seeding with the same key, you need to change the public pass key to your personal passkey and then seed.

and with regards to the shigofumi torrent you mentioned there are no leechers and if there are no leechers obviously your stats aren't going to improve

Myself I have a similar problem, after trying to download some torrents I coulnd't be able to do it, I think that is because my ratio is low. Then I tried to seed some of the files I al ready donwloaded, the problem was that I changed the file they were , but following the wiki instructions I recovered the torrent's files in order to seed, the problem is that no matter how many time has passed, it wont seed anything, my utorrent program tells me that there are 0 seeders and 0 leechers, however that is not what the donwload page says, this is an example: I'm trying to seed this torrent http://bakabt.me/147228-mobile-suit-gundam-zeonic-corps.html which says that has 84 seeders - 11 leechers but acording to my utorrent client it has no seeders nor leechers.
Something similar happens with this other torrent http://bakabt.me/150269-sora-no-otoshimono-shinji-nekomimi.html, but in this case the numbers are accurate with the site. But nevers connects to any leecher and/or seeders, I'm even forcing the torrent but it's no use.
Any solution to actually seed and increase my ratio? Thank you in advance.

which version of utorrent are you using? does it report anything else beside the leecher/seeder number (like for example a tracker status message)?

Is utorrent 1.8.1, with some torrents says that BakaBT traker state is "scrape ok" .
after taking a look to the white list of torrent client I think I'll have to upgrade my utorrent.
