Something odd with my upload/download speed

Yes, I've read the Wiki, etc.  But it doesn't seem to give me any insight as to why, on BakaBt, I only get .1kb/s of upload speed
for ever 100kb/s of download speed, and after the torrent is done downloading, it refuses to upload anything anymore.  I don't have
any problems from other torrent sites... in fact, if anything, my upload speed is usually double my download speed.  Anyone got any ideas?
Setting a very low download speed doesn't help because when my download speed is low, I can't upload.  At 600kb/s (my top DL speed) I only
hover around .6-.7kb/s upload.  At 500kb/s it's around .5kb/s, 400 is .4, you get the idea.

what torrents are you seeding?
It could be that there are just no other leechers, or the ones that are on have very slow download speeds.

It would help to know what bittorrent program your using. If you aren't using uTorrent, you're own your own. But if you are, I'd suggest checking out port forwarding. Making sure the ports that your torrent program is using, are open. That would be the first step in trouble shooting...

I'm using uTorrent.  And my most recent downloads were Major S1-S5.  I just tried to seed/download a bonus torrent as well... but the torrent keeps dying on me.  Managed to get up to 3kb/s upload though...

I have very similar issues.  I use uTorrent 2.0 build 1.8488 which is listed on the whitelist.

As an example... i just downloaded Minami-Ke from here.  while i was downloading the series overnight, i got to a .2 ratio.  but since then ive been unable to get any kind of decent upload rate.  the torrent shows 73 seeds and 8 peers.  ATM i currently have 1 peer leeching off me at 1 kb/sec.  My upload rate is currently set to cap at 100 kb/sec

outside of bakabt... i just downloaded Yuurisan's dance in the vampire bund 7.5 this morning.  And if i set it to seed, i get 40+ kb/sec.  my ratio on that is already a 4.5

obviously the new episode of vampire bund is going to be more popular than an old series but i would think with 8 peers on my minami-ke torrent, id get some kind of decent upload rate.

its getting very difficult to upkeep my ratio.  last torrent i had (nanoha strikers), i sat on for 2-3 weeks and i gave up with a .15 ratio.  I dont have hard drive space to keep seeding series for months on end...

Just checking the amount of leechers aren't enough. When there are nearly 10 seeders per leecher it's not odd that the leechers max out their download.

download the freeleech torrents and let it upload for a few weeks (yes you heard right a few weeks). either that or get a seedbox.

I concur, just because there are a few leechers does not guarantee you should be uploading. Especially if those leechers are already connected to other seeders(high seeder to leecher ratio) or if those leechers actually have the torrent on pause or w/e for whatever reason.
