Tiffanys:

--- Quote ---The war never stops: in a different time, on a different battlefield, hiding deeply into the folds of History... They are called Chiropterans. They can change their form and disguise as human beings, but they are not. They are immortal creatures that feed off blood.

An organization, named Red Shield, has been fighting to exterminate this pestilence, and the struggle has now evolved into something of a much bigger scale.

Okinawa, Japan. Year 2005. Now.

Otonashi Saya is a high-school girl living peacefully with her family - with one exception: she has no memory of her life except for the past year. One day, a startling event causes her happy life to shatter into pieces.

An enemy to destroy, a mission to accomplish - the vortex of an ancient struggle is dragging Saya back to her destiny. A young and handsome cello player in dark clothes appears - his name is Hagi. The moment he hands Saya a Japanese sword, History starts a new course.

Will Saya be able to restore her memory and find her own identity?

(description from anidb)

There wasn't really a discussion thread going on it, so I figured I'd make one since I have some questions myself after finishing it.

Alright here are my questions:
(click to show/hide)1. How did Diva's chevalier Nathan Mahler survive both Saya's blood (being cut in two) and the bombing?
My guess is that from what was said, Nathan actually wasn't Diva's chevalier at all, but instead their mother's chevalier. Therefore, Saya's blood would have no effect on him, especially if he were made from the same kind of Queen as Saya. It's strongly implied that this is the case.

2. How did Hagi survive the bombing?
Your guess is as good as mine... The only thing that makes sense to me is that he must've been able to push everything off him, including Amshel and flee before the bombs hit, but chose to stay hidden from Saya and the others afterwords and simply wait for Saya's awakening next time, quietly watching over her from the shadows until then.

3. Assuming Nathan's original Queen (Saya & Diva's mother) was killed by the other Queen, what happened to her (the other Queen)?
There's no real answer to this one I guess, just speculation. It's not even clear that's the case, it's only clear that their mother died by having their head blown off, it looked like.

4. How the hell did they get to Diva's chevalier James Ironside and manage to save him before he was completely crystalized? The whole process only takes a couple seconds, and there was no one down in that hole.
Magic? lol. I guess it was just because the writer decided for it to be like that. That or he managed to rip off his entire body except for his heart, lungs and head, basically... I guess he could survive for some time like that, or at least be brought back from the dead like that, as long as he wasn't crystalized and didn't lose his head. At least that's what he said, and we did see earlier that the chiropterans could be brought back from completely dead-like states.(If you haven't seen all 50 episodes, I wouldn't look inside that spoiler)

Havoc10K:
good luck with those answers, you might want to read the manga for them :]

Scudworth:
Part of the process of watching anime is to just learn to accept the crazy shit you see without asking perfectly reasonable and logical questions.
Just think of it like a religion.  :P

thats wrong, religion has no sense at all, anime does, it entertains, religion doesn't.
