Persona 4 FES? ...or Persona 2 PSP? ;p

It wasn't really confirmed as Persona 5 there, but this is good news. Too bad I don't have a PS3 (since they'll probably go for that). It could still become a PS2 game to ensure sales numbers. Though, many fans would probably be disappointed if they stick to that.

I sort of wonder what they would do with a PS3 version, though.  Given the style of the series, it's not really necessary to have the PS3's engine.

It'll be on the PS3, don't worry.  PS2 development has stopped pretty much completely, and I highly doubt Atlas plans on switching the series to handhelds only. Great news tho. :D

though i do wonder about a ps3 move. Atlus has used many of the same models for random encounter enemies in almost every shin megami tensai game they've produced. either they are gonna not bother with taking advantage of the ps3's power and use the same models from their older games. in which case persona 5 is gonna be alot like disgeae 3 (same graphics and models from ps2 version).

I don't really mind same graphics, as I like the persona series' style in 3 and 4, so long as it has a better story than Disgaea 3 had.  Disgaea 3 had a horrible story.  That said, Atlus didn't make Disgaea (Nippon Icchi made it), they merely published it, so it may still opt for better graphics, though I doubt it.  High quality graphics would make some of the demons look bad, imho.

I wonder if Sony will provide the same kind of incentives to get this on the PS3 as they did with Demon's Souls.

They've been hemorrhaging niche market developers for about 4 years, and I'd be very surprised if their involvement with From Software to produce DS and 3D Dot Game Heroes wasn't a way of testing the market to see if the PS3 has reached a wide enough audience.  Atlus produced a shitload of PS2 games which sold quite well considering their niche status.  I would imagine they're one of the most important targets for Sony in any sort of attempt to mend broken ties.

Honestly they dont even need to change the graphics that much just being able to play the person games on ps3 would make me happy I hate wired controller on my ps2 I hardley play any of my ps2 games now because I dont like sitting close to the tv to play the games. Both persona 3 and 4 are fun. Im planning on getting the person 3 that is going to be released on psp just to try it with a female lead. I already own persona 3 twice whats one more @@

I bought a wired controller to the 360 since I hate the mess with batteries much more than the wire length. ^^ (totally off topic)

I won't call Answers Arc the only reason  not to say that this is not Fes. FES for the PS2 had 25 more hours of game play then P3. Answers Arc was on 25 hours game play.

I hated The Answer anyway.  They dumped the ability to return to a boss level whenever and made you have to go like 10 floors to get to them again.  The bosses themselves are much harder than in P3 as well, which makes it necessary to fight them at full health.....which means you have to avoid every monster b4 you reach them.  Its even worse if you have the wrong party fighting the boss....like someone with a major weakness against it.  You lose>Go back to entrance>Go 10 floors again avoiding everything to reach the boss>Repeat boss fight.  Pain in the ass.

Don't own a PS3, Xbox 360 or a Wii. However if P5 comes out on the PS3, you can say that I am for sure going to buy one just for it.

The answer weren't bad imo. It was only hard at the start, after that I just destroyed everything in my path with Aigis, Metis, Yukari and Akihiko. Even made a totally unnecessary 4x MaDyne Beelzebub and another ultimate persona at the end (which is pretty hard in the answer + not really needed).
