Vampire Hunter D Novel
« on: March 27, 2010, 04:52:14 AM »
So I didn't notice it say on the DNR list after a ctr+f about novels nor this particular set so I figured I'd give it a try.

I'm not speaking about the graphic novels (unless I can request two per request? >-> ), but the actual written novels that came after the anime.  There's 14 of them out according to Dark Horse' website with a 15th due out in august.  Would be awesome to have these for reading material.

The graphic novels would be awesome, but again, this request is for the actual novels without pictures ^-^

Thanks in advance!

I don't think we do novels here.  There isn't a category for them at least, so you're probably out of luck.

Though, I agree, they would be cool to have uploaded.  (Been reading through them actually... pretty sweet.)

Hadn't gotten my hopes up, my first attempt at a request so was simply hoping on a chance ~-^

I just want to be able to read them on my kindle as opposed to having to read the book...kinda like with manga, so much nicer to have over 100 volumes of manga on a kindle to read as opposed to carrying around the books that I finish too fast to justify carrying >_<

We do have novels here, just not a category for them. http://bakabt.me/148299-robotech-robotech-sentinels-novels.html

I didn't realize they were still on going. Do they tie together or they each self contained?
I’m in your noun, verb-ing your related noun.

From what I understand, they're each self contained.

I'm going to bow to shabutie's expertise on this one (sorry on delay, had been out of town and refused to touch a computer for the past week, vacation = food, relaxation, hibernation != computer), I really am not sure whether they are self-contained or not.

Having just gotten the latest volume, I am going to begin unbinding them later this week.
I should have a torrent for them in a week or two (depends on how much access I get to my workplace's scanner).

Not sure how the rules will play with it  cause of the 'No Ongoing' thing.

And VHD is technically a ongoing series...  Not sure how novels fit in though.

It's a LONG ongoing series with arc breaks.

But since every book (with a couple exceptions) is it's own standalone story,  wouldn't that make each book an upload?  or would you group 4-5 of them together even though they don't continue off each other?

Why would each book be its own upload instead of the whole series being in one torrent?

Because it's an ongoing series?  Not sure how the Long Ongoing series things go, but if it goes by arc, every book is it's own arc (with a couple exceptions)  There's no defining arcs to stop at, unless you did a group of 5 or something, or just added new releases over time.

I don't know...  I'm not the uploader, so I guess I shouldn't care.

I know I said two weeks, but I realize now how optimistic that estimate was.  With things getting busy at my workplace, I have very little time to scan because the machine is almost constantly in use because it is also used to print, copy, etc. I'm looking to see if my college has a scanner I can use in the meantime.

Should I use the US volume numbers or the Japanese volume numbers? I ask because there are several volumes that are two volumes in one.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Vampire_Hunter_D_novels for details.

Should have posted in here earlier, but I finally offered the torrent.
