I did that with a bunch of rave/party flyers... covered an entire wall with just the parties I'd been to/played at/hosted.  When I moved I took that stuff that's like an adhesive-type laminate and covered the whole wall so I could take it down in a few pieces.  Unfortunately it didn't get packed properly for the move and was crushed.  :'(  Such memories (and complete lack thereof >.>)!!

Hmm, I try to carry as little as possible.

Keys
Cellphone (works everywhere, except Japan T_T I need a new phone!)
Wallet (money, ID-card, bank-pass only usable within Europe)
Depending on weather, umbrella (pocket sized)

When abroad:
+ my other bank-pass usable everywhere
+ Passport (instead of ID-card, which is only valid in Europe)
+ map of the area (subway/train/bus-map if available)

And in case it's a short trip of several days:
+ some clothes and towels
+ depending on accommodation, a sleeping bag and stuff

DS lite + cyclo + 8GB SD (right cargo pocket)
1.5m kusarifundo (nylon + 7cm steel spheres, wrapped just under my belt - weights hang mostly concealed below my keys on my left hip)
    - point of note:  only ever had to use it once, out in the world, and that was to retrieve a stuck basketball for some kids.  hope it stays that way. ^_^
keyring w/belt clip and "Strong Badia" stoppy keyfob (and ~20 keys... i'm weird about keeping keys i may never need again)
moleskin with german inkwell pen clipped to the reinforced spine (right cargo pocket with the DS on the inside)

occasionally, i squirrel away a few extra things in the left cargo (snacks, etc.), but this is most representative of my daily cycle.

Hmm ... ona daily basis it would be a wallet, a pen and a little notebook; sometimes an mp3 player ... that's about it. When I am traveling somewhere in a car I often bring my little laptop with me (a 11.6" creature).
