Why no provisional drivers licence Bob?

I can't afford driving lessons at the moment, and even if I could, there's no way I could afford to buy and run a car. So it seems like a waste of money paying for a provisional license - especially given I need to save as much money as I possibly can atm.

Once I've finished uni and can afford driving lessons, I'll probably get one. Until then, there's not much point.

On me any time I leave my apartment:
Phone + earphones
Wallet (ID, Student ID/bus pass,debit card, a little cash)
Keys (only when I'm going to be out late, so my roommates don't lock me out)

Charger
1 Notebook
1 Textbook depending on the day
1 Black Pen
1 Pencil (damn university testing center forced me to buy it at a ridiculous rate)
Some device for electronically taking quizzes in class
Dozens of random handouts given to me in class that I'm always too lazy to go through and dispose of

Except you can get ID card that works in the whole EU and which costs like 80 euros or something so the driver's license as ID is being slowly replaced. Officially DL doesn't even pass as ID anymore. (but for some reason banks still accept it)

Driver's License and passport seem to be about the only forms of ID that are actually accepted everywhere, tbh. There are other forms of ID you can get, but there always seem to be a few pubs or shops which refuse them, which makes them kinda useless at times.

Honestly, I'm so used to carrying it around now, I'd feel slightly lost without it. I can feel it in my pocket, so I can immediately tell when its not there; if I do somehow drop it (very unlikely), I should notice.

Whenever I leave home:
Phone and my iPod are always with me along with my earbuds
Sunglasses are in my car at all times for those days where makeup is too much to ask.
Wallet with Student ID, DL, Military ID, munee, debit/credit cards and checkbook and my keys

Carryall:
Laptop and iPad
Lunch or at least utensils from home /paranoid
All my textbooks are usually in my vehicle at all times
A wide range of wall/car chargers
Pens, Notebooks and Recorder
A hoody, zippy or blazer

Gymbag:
Change of clothes
sweats, flipflops
leotard, pointe shoes, tights
an array of hairclips and ties along with a hairbrush
towel, deodorant, perfume

It's almost safe to say I live out of my car during the weekdays. I'm only missing the kitchen sink

Purse (My bank card, boyfriends bank card, reward cards, money, etc)
A Book (sometimes 2)

Loads of random letters/papers
My sign on stuff
A bottle of BO spray

If I don't have my bag I usually just have

- Gears of war bottle opener (my friend's place doesn't have a good one for some weird reason, always use a can opener to pop open beers, I got sick of it so by habit I have this now)
- House keys
- Work keys
- Car keys

^ Above all in my pants pocket. Additional work business card in my back pocket for work clothing. Never know when a client asks information that I don't know off the top of my head since I don't use the info on a regular basis (ie: Address or fax number)

Other stuff in my jacket pocket:

Jacket B:
Envelope with cash (Last count $340)

Nail clipper. (Dryer conditions and cold conditions = higher chance of damn annoying hangnails)

For the cash thing... I keep forgetting to put the money away since I last withdrew from the bank... 3 times. My next withdrawl likely will be in American dollars since I'll need it mid January. Hope CAD goes to parity soon.
