I can sort of understand Sony's need to lock down their products in the sense they want to know exactly the experience their users get out of their product... but seriously... why the heck does everyone want to hack Sony products?

Ummm.... $20 and half an hour of work to be able to play all PS1 games and eliminate the need to swap out UMDs?  Priceless.

Yesh unless ur stuck with newer 3K psp's or the infamous TA-V88 motherboard on the psp 2001  :-[ Which is what I have. (Pandoras wont work on them) if u have a psp 2K and the serial starts with AB02 you have yourself an unhackable psp. o.o

Those that are using the trick of not updating. Have fun, in a few months the games will require a newer version and come shipped with it. Then you can't play your games any longer, unless you hack that as well.

Tis a long hard struggle, but a noble one. We must press on! *cue heroic background music*

No... that is now. Then was then which was easily YEARS before the battery mod and rampant brickings and when the thing cost 220 to obtain etc. and MSPD were 180 dollars for a 2GB piece.

I stopped paying attention to my PSP before the release of PSP 2000 series. Had 3 brickings, 2 revivals and 1 bricking that didn't revive.

True, it's priceless now, but back then it was the biggest pain the ass ever. I just gave away my PSP and left it at that. I don't have any doubts I'll probably pick up a PSP again one day or the thing that will come after the PSP, but when we're on the front lines... no thanks. It's too much of a headache.

UMMX:
Why do we need Linux on the PS3 for anyway? I have PS3slim and I care. My cousin might be mad about but he doesn't even play his PS3 anymore...
