Torrent Server does not get a connection

Hey folks,

Since I've been here, I downloaded and seeded with my servers.
After a pretty long time of absence, I want to start seeding again with a new server.
I'm using µTorrent WebUI 0.361 - it always worked fine for me.


Now here's my problem:

I downloaded a torrent to my PC - then I uploaded it to my server and started it via WebUI.
The download does not start. The torrent gets no connection somehow...

I wondered if it has something to do with the IP or whatever.

WebUI is not the problem - is your uTorrent older then 1.8.4?
If so update to 1.8.5 or 2.0

Also check the message after the tracker url - it usually will report what's wrong...

That's weird... when I open the utorrent.exe on my PC it says in the header "uTorrent 2.0"... but in the prefrences it says 1.8.12639.

So what?

Anyways, I don't really get it how to install a new WebUI + uTorrent (you have to install a new WebUI, since the new update requires this).
A friend of mine made me a complete package where I just have to start "utorrent.exe" and it'll run.

That explains it - update your client to 1.8.5 or 2.0.
1.8.1 is no longer whitelisted

I downloaded 1.8.5 and changed it... but now the WebUI won't start... I'll have a look tomorrow if you don't have any other suggestions (it's 5:45 in Germany *yawn*)...

A complete package would be awesome, but I don't expect that here

Edit: I got my WebUI running with a newer version again - thanks for all those kind and fast answers. Happy Easter!
