.
About two-thirds of that list is outright depressing; there's, like, four are on my all-time favorite Obscure Gems list:

Quote from: sankakucomplex.com
1. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (1,707)
2. Taishou Baseball Girls (1,392)
3. Chihayafuru (Unknown)
4. Kurenai (1,922)
5. Kamisama Dolls (1,355)
6. True Tears (2,079)
7. Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth (1,234)
8. Kill Me Baby (Unknown)
9. Princess Jellyfish (1,321)
10. Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (1,997)
11. Sora no Manimani (1,231)
12. Shiki (1,225)
13. Softenni (783)
14. Wandering Son (1,007)
15. Sasameki Koto (Unknown)

Gad damn.  :(
I win, once again, in my never-ending struggle against victory.

Sucks, yea, but I never really thought it would have pulled a second season anyway. It ended with some sort of closure and really, while I really enjoy reading the manga each month, its just not something that I could see getting a second season as an anime.

After where the first season ended, the manga only really spent a bit making the relationship official, but after that its kinda generic Usui being suave, Misaki being strong and a bit tsundere. I dunno, I dont want to say a whole lot about what happens in the manga, I just wanted to note that I really never thought Maid-sama had a chance of getting another season in the first place, and really, I am OK with that. It is, imo, one of those series that I think works best as a manga.

Also- Shame on you for giving this thread the title you did. Its like you are a shady salesmen luring people in with a false pretense.

What the fuck is with #10 being on that list? I have trouble seeing how it could be disliked. While it did seem to be for a mature audience (by that I mean one that cares about more than tits, ass, and gore), it seemed to also have a more general appeal of being well made. Is that a list based on US sales, domestic, international (which includes US sales), or all sales? It doesn't say in the article.

I wonder, as I bought the whole series complete collection of discs, that people did that, instead of buying each individual disc. That or, it's the economy stupid...??? I don't think it was too high brow, but maybe for purchasers as opposed to viewers...  ...dunno.
Timing is everything in comedy!

I'm pretty sure these are domestic sales, given that the source is a Japanese one, so it says nothing about how well these shows sold overseas. Heck, some aren't even licensed at all, like KmB and Softenni (and it's debatable how 'great' those shows were).

Will probably never happen now, even if it had a chance to begin with.

http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2012/08/18/top-15-greatest-anime-which-sold-abysmally/

Low sales will deter the company from making it.
Season 2? ... Where is the news? You made a thread giving false information? .....

Heh I remember staying up at night to watch the re-runs of this anime on animax.

I remember loving the anime, and then reading the manga, then when I got past the point where the anime stopped...It wasn't working out for me. (The strange plot about Usui being some kind of illegitimate son)

Where do you guys suggest I go if I want to archive this anime?

Thanks!

I finished this series a while ago. It was a pretty ermm... amusing(?) show. And I liked it.
There were some totally pointless and useless episodes though. But overall a nice show.

Misaki had an interesting character that you can't really meet everyday.

And Usui.. well Usui, he was godlike :D Blonde guys are the best >.> Plus strong, intelligent and kind. I think there's a lot to find out about him yet though, so probably will get my hands on manga soon.
