I can't wait to get my i7 installed. While I do love my Core 2 Quad, it is going to be nothing compared to a i7-975. And it will feel even better since it was free ;)

for the average computer user, sure. But Multithreading is a very important (and annoying) resource for programmers.

Heh, went with an i5 750, it's quad core and will do me quite nicely.

Moving the OS does work, I've done it before, BUT (you knew this was coming, right?) it seems that windoze doesn't like being moved to another system that is radically different to the one it was installed on.
As to how to move it to another drive, you make an image of the OS on the drive you want to move it to and it normally works.
I accidentally put the image on the wrong drive (D'OH!) and fairly successfully wiped out most of the info on it.
Hopefully I will be able to re-seed a lot of the anime I've d/l'd.
Yes, I've Read the FAQ and have ONE seeding again, just to see if I could get it work, but nobody seems to want it. ::)
Going to be checking my 'leeched' list to see which ones I need to re-seed and I've already spotted one anime series that was lost in the accident that I want to get again that is on that list.

I would love to get an i7 but I got an i5 750 as well, but still this bakes cakes a lot faster than the C2Qs, even overclocks better.

In my book there really is no reason to get anything more than an i5 750 except for E-peen. I have yet to come in contact with anything that this processor can't handle and since the absence of multithreading is the only difference between the 750 and any other i7 Lynnfield than what's the point?
