That's why I love digital watches/clocks.
Although where I live it's not as big of an
issue 'cause of the difference in the
amount of daylight is quite huge 12h apart.

This is one of the many reasons why I use military time for all of my clocks that allow it, though my alarm clock doesn't have it so that can happen to me on occasion too >.>

All of my clocks are digital, but not all of them make am/pm easy to differentiate

Oh yeah, forgot that not all countries use
24h display but rather am/pm. I have no
idea which is more common. It makes this
kind of problem a lot smaller though since
there's a big visual difference between
9 and 21.

This has happen to me once...I went to sleep around midnight and woke up at 6am but I for some reason I thought it was 6pm (because I normally don't wake up till noonish). So I thought I slept through the day (it was my day off from work). Once 7am came (thinking it was 7pm) I turned on TV and wonder why the news was on instead of a show I watch then it hit me!

Got to love mistaking the time, though I was always worse at days...

I woke up at 6pm once thinking it was 6am (time for school here) and I started yelling "why didn't you wake me" my family were looking at me like WTF then I started doing my homework hoping I'll have time finishing it before my ride comes and I passed by the window and saw some kids playing football down the street and I was like "the hell is wrong with these people so early in the morning? shortly after that, my brother came in and started playing video games and I was like "what is wrong with you people?" and he was like "what?" and when I checked my computer clock it was friggin PM...... :'(

Just be glad you didn't make it all the way too the school before you realized... that was an interesting day. Though I had no one to yell at like you since my mum went to work before I woke up and was home after 6...

Wait till you have one of those really crazy weekends where you wake up and can't even figure out which day it is, let alone the time.

That's why 24 h clock is good ( not that pm am shit thing) and not taking naps is also good....
