[rant] People who do two things at once
« on: April 07, 2010, 01:00:56 AM »
Example, I'm watching the Lord of the Rings (BD) and my brother and cousin are as well...except they are playing WoW. For those who don't know what it means to be "playing" WoW it means to be engrossed in the game.

If you are going to watch a movie, watch the movie, if you are going to play a game, play the game.

I completely understand that to some people experiencing the world, happens. Its not something they "do". I'm like that with many things. At any given time, I'm probably thinking about multiple things. To me, thing isn't something I do, its something that happens whether I like it or not. Similarly for them experiencing things is something they can't control. As a result, listening to a movie while playing a game is natural.

It just pisses me off.

a lot of people (including me) like to have some background noise while they do something else.  I don't know how I would get work done without ITunes open or my T.V. on =/

No no, they were jumping with joy (almost literally) when they came back from BestBuy with BD in hand. Its not just back ground noise.

I can understand, its bad as the people that skip through the whole damn movie then ask you what the hell it was about. If they fucking know what it was about they would've fucking seen it.

I think that's what he wanted.  To watch LotR while fapping to it together.

There were some heated scenes between Frodo and Sam.

So you needed to be a whiny bitch in the first place, because? Seriously, it's not that big of a deal, stop acting like someone shoved a bunny up your ass.

Only two things?

Pffft, noobs.

I can listen to radio, watch a movie, read a book and play something all while chatting to someone.
I think I win. :D

Because we can!

I was timing an episode sometime ago while having King of Queens in the background. It was nice, but I can't remember the episode (KoQ) at all so I'll have to watch those 5-6 episodes again.

I CAN'T MULTITAAAASK D=

Noone can actually multitask.  Significant research data has shown that "multitasking" is nothing more than dividing one's attention among said tasks (orly) effectively disallowing full cognition of all events.

I find I always multi-task, my ears listen to music and my eyes focus on what ever I am doing at the current moment. Now when it comes to TV that is a heavy distraction and never could multi-task threw that since it occupies both vision and hearing. Though games I never was good at paying attention to them for long periods of time unless I was doing something with them, also why I love ventrilo makes it easier to focus.

While the movies are far from Mediocre, I have heard that the BD versions suck =/

Why I was upset? I want my living back (my cousin has kind of taken it over).

As for the BD sucking. Eh, its 1080p, but they screwed around with the colors. Yeah, they are more vivid, but its unnatural. Grass is indeed green, but its not lime green. Of course I was also having a migraine so my perception of color may have been off.
