It's a ritual at many Indian universities to playfully beat up your friends at their birthday (don't ask). A friend of mine had his birthday today and actually got his hip sprained when a bunch of his classmates ganged up on him.
My birthday's coming up next week, and it amuses me that this guy suddenly seems to have lost his previous enthusiasm for beating me up.
