It doesn't say anything about it being licensed by Funi. Another argument, fansub.tv is still hosting episodes.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did indeed get licensed one of these days.

I was waiting for this one to finish before I continued watching it. The story and the bond between them is fairly deep so I stopped around episode 8 so I could just marathon the entire thing once it's finished.

You can watch until 12. That ends a story. 14-26 will probably tell some short stories. I'm currently at FroZen's 17. 13 is just a recap of 1-12.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

So... so... I finished it. This was without a doubt the most depressing, yet uplifting series I've ever seen. It's not a series I'd ever recommend marathoning. It was absolutely amazing though.

But I was a bit disappointed with two things.

was looking for another more serious show for the next pick on anime night and i remembered this one. Just did some SYD and want something kinda serious.

This looks like it would fit the bill. Is it almost at the level of mushishi or kino's journey? It looks like something differnt and serious/thought provoking which is what i want

The only problem is that it looks like its not done? Frozen seems to be the only decently rated group but they're only up to ep 17 (who the hell is frozen anyway?) I see some group called AFFTW finished it off, as well as a strange peppering of horrible subs and funiguys (im guessing funiguys is CR rips as well?)

who the hells AFFTW? just wondering who i should get to finish it if frozen doesn't finish by the time im at ep 17. Who did you finish up with DBML?

I wouldn't really compare those two to Rainbow. This isn't a deep thinker kind of series... it's just over-dramatized and really intense. Pretty much every episode (occasionally multiple times an episode) you ask yourself how much worse their lives can get... and then it does. And that happens over and over and over again. It's a draining experience. But it's not a miserable series, as they always have hope.

I watched Shani-san's work after it got licensed and nearly everyone dropped. At least until it finished up, the I just got Horriblesubs Funi rips, which were fine... just 360p.

I'm putting myself on a week ban from watching any new anime. Rainbow has forced me into taking a break... and I know that anything I watch will seem like shit compared to it.

just to be clear.. this isn't as depressing as Saikano is it? That show made me ill, i couldn't finish it. Its the only show i droped simply because of how depressing it was. I dont mind drama or tradgety, but when every single episode seems to have no point other than to make you feel like youve been kicked in the balls its just no fun, you know?

Im a bit confused, Shani-san only seems to have done 9-19. who did you watch before that?

Im also still wondering on who frozen is they only show this as what they've done

I'll definatly give this a look as long as its not as depressing as Saikano, lol

Why don't you look into who FroZen is? How about checking out their sites... or at least AniDB which provides the relevant information that it is Frostii and Saizen... Really... We are not here to spoon feed you.

probably because the ADB entry doesn't say who the hell they are which is why i asked
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=group&gid=9022

usually if its a colaboration the notes will say what groups it is, or they will say in the description

wow im blind. I musta had the contribution tab up when i looked. I was looking at the spot where they put the group info in and it was blank.

Still hoping this isn't as depressing as Saikano

Kenshin. Are you even capable of watching something without asking a billion questions first? For the love of all that is holy in anime, just watch the first damn episode for yourself to decide! You could've been several episodes into this great series already if you weren't pissing around asking needless questions... and decided for yourself how good it is and if it's worth watching any further.

newy, myself and several other people have already told him. Regardless 1+.

Not like it has helped though.
