So i watched the first couple episodes of Bleach
southerndoom:
I enjoyed it.Light easy kinda fun anime. My problem is i dont
know if i could ever watch 260+ episodes of it.I dont watch
a ton of anime and this would take me probably all year to watch.
I like it but there are a ton of other anime i could watch in the time
it takes to see this.
My question is i guess is it worth it for someone who cant watch
a lot attempt to watch this series?
Does it fall into the trap of repetitiveness that many longer show do?
I hear the term filler arcs a lot for these longer shows what does that mean anyway?
Thanks for the help as always.

I think it gradually gets better until episode 20 or so, where it really picks up. Then I watched until episode 80 or whatever it was until the fillers really started... Still stuck there. Really depends on what you like, but if you like shounen/adventure/action I think it's a pretty good watch, the first season at least.
Filler arcs usually means made up, irrelevant things to the story that didn't appear in the original manga to start with. Reason for these can be that the anime is closing up to the original manga (and thus running out of source material) and tries to broaden the gap by making things up.

Filler episodes/arc's are original stories who aren't made by the original author and mostly made to "fill up" the time it takes for the manga to distance itself enough (aka have enough material) from the anime so that the anime doesn't have to go off-air. While fillers can be good in some series, they are mostly of inferior quality and can bring in continuity issues.
Bleach is definitely worth the watch until the end of the Soul Society Arc, after that I would definitely skip over the filler arcs (you can google for which episodes are filler)
Stereojar:
It's 100% worth it to watch up until 80 or so, then the Bounto filler arc begins.... It's not THAT bad but nothing much really. At about 120 or so (if i remember correct) the show goes back on the main arc, that's it up until 227 (well some random fillers in between) and up till now (265 aired last week) we are dealing with the WORST FILLERS in filler history.
In my opinion just start it, when you reach 80 you decide if you continue and see everything, or just skip fillers or just skip the whole show. 1-80 episode is 8.5-9 / 10 for me.
AceD:
It's ok sometimes, but use wiki to skip all filler episodes, don't waste your time.
