I was downloading now it stopped

I was downloading Blood+ however this morning on my utorrent i am getting a "socket operation  was attempted to an unreachable host" error.  I have the ports forwarded and wide open and no firewall blocking the utorrent... i wonder what made it stop over night??

Do you have PeerGuardian? If you do, disable it and update the torrents and see if the tracker message changes. If it does, edit it to allow bakabt's tracker.

It could also be because of a firewall, especially Bitdefender appears in search results for this error...

Edit; @dewayne2k8 I recommend you switch to PeerBlock, PeerGuardian is severely deprecated...

Hello! yes thanks to that tip you gave me it is working! however does BakaBT engage in DHT OR peer discovery or exchange? it keeps saying not allowed

that's intended - otherwise we wouldn't be able to track stats. you don't need it anyway as all peers for our torrents are connected with our tracker, thus it is impossible to find any additional peer through dht/peer discovery.

That is incorrect as I understand it. A lot of baka torrents are mirrored on other sites. Not a lot of peers on those, but it is still some. When it used to be totally open it had a huge impact, not so any more.
