ideas to set up connection

i start college at iit in july, they block torrents there and tunneling doesn't work either.
i have a i7 and 2 i5's and a laptop. although im planning on taking the laptop to college and using remote access to run the downloads and stuff but how do i turn on a system?? i make it a pt to turn off the system once a week to flush it out... any auto start software available??

or
any other way

i have ruled out rss feed though.

This belongs in the Tech section probably.

Anyway. I don't think there is such a software. You can't start a computer if it is turned off. The computer is off and therefore there is nothing running to start it again. You can put into standby or something and start it again I suppose but I don't think you are wanting to do that from the sounds of it.

Read up on Wake-on-LAN.

Or use the scheduler built into your OS.

ill be away for 2-3 months at stretch and the os clock supports only 49.5 days, or so i heard, the system crashes then....
