So far I'm far more impressed with the shows this season than last season. I really didn't think much of last seasons though.

Since I don't remember much standing out last season, I have to say yes.

It's not about quantity, but quality.  Some shows really standout this season, among many that are sequels.  Companies playing it safe because of the economy?

I feel as if the quantity of shows that are worth watching, as well as the quality of best this season is greater.

The best last season was Sora no oto, which was quite good, but everything else was kind of "blah". It seems as if both Angel Beats and Working would be just as good as that one anime. This excludes the squeal to K-on.

Yeah, it's not too shabby I guess. I still think the best season so far was fall/winter 08... So many great shows, I couldn't keep up. Guess I was spoiled...   :-\

So I'm going to have to go with a resounding yes.  Vampire was a big let down.

Plus this season Mayoi was way better than I thought it would be, Angel Beats is good, I like Hakuoki a lot, Arakawa is hilarious, Durarara is still strong, FINALLY Kiss x Sis TV, B Gata H Kei is taking good turns left and right, Maid-sama is Special A version 2, K-On 2 is...well...K-on, and both the Eden and Haruhi movies.  This season is great.

This season is much better than Winter.  Matter of fact, I actually dropped most of the shows that came out in Winter to watch a bunch of classics that I've never gotten around to seeing.  But this season I'm too busy with new shows to almost do anything.   At the start of this season I stopped at chapter 11 on FFXIII and haven't had a chance to pick it back up since.  Guess I'll wind up turning into a C'ieth or whatever the hell they're called.

Yes, last season was seriously lacking in any anime I wanted to follow. It didn't even get a single sports series started.

I've been following quite a bit this season. A couple are carrying over from previous seasons(Fullmetal, Durarara), but I feel I've picked up a lot more shows compared to previous. (I think I'm at like eight) I have a few others that I have yet to even start watching.

There was only one series I started to watch from Winter Season that I ended up dropping which was So Ra No Wo To. Bored really easily with that series. I didn't watch anything else from Winter cause nothing really caught my interest so I spent all of last season watching old anime from the late 80s, early 90s that I never saw.

So far this season I started one series thus far and now since I'm no longer busy as of today, I'll be watching several more that I have a lot of interest in.

So the verdict: this season beats out last season by a mile in interesting shows.
There's nothing here, because I'm too lazy to put something here.

Yes.

I feel like there's a higher diversity in shows this season. There's something for every anime fan. And the shows this season seems to be of higher quality.

Durarara! is the only show I am still following of the last season while this one has several stand-outs; Giant Killing, Senkou no Night Raid, Arakawa Under the Bridge, RAINBOW. Although probably too soon to make a conclusion. Not really sure about Senkou no Night Raid though.
