Full Metal Panic - Worth the BluRay?
Southrop:
I've been looking to "obtain" FMP for a while, and due to licensing, it's obviously been difficult. I was originally intending to obtain the 720p BD version that OZC released, but I could only find MU links to download (MU blocked HK, for those who don't know). I can bypass the block using a VPN, but I'm lazy. Today I discovered that KAA did a DVD rip of it, and the torrents are still very much alive for that, hence my question: Is it worth the bluray? Are there any significant changes to the video (or any changes at all?)? Or is it just a video quality thing.
Daiz:
The BDs aren't really all that good, but certainly better than DVDs since FMP DVDs tend to be one of the worst DVDs ever.
Though it'd really need some proper job to look better than the DVDs. You can't really expect good results out of pre-encoded Share/PD raw remuxes (which OZC's releases are) or just generally shoddy jobs (BluDragon's releases).
newy:
I think blubart made a comment on the offer when FMP was "unlicensed" and said that the BD aren't worth it.
Lupin:
Get KAA's encodes. Koda's karaoke for those are awesome! :D
Zalis116:
A-L's DVD-rips are also supposed to be good, despite their age. They should be available via torrent, as well.
