Assuming you're running a PC with uTorrent, what you need to do is stop the torrent.  Next, right click the torrent in the list, and under Advanced, click on Select Download Location.  Select the location where you moved your files.  Next, either right click in uTorrent and select Force Re-Check or select Force Start.  uTorrent will indicate that it's checking the files and it will either resume doing whatever it was doing before (downloading, seeding) or give you an error.  If you selected recheck, it will check the files and then stop.
