What's up with AMV's on bakabt?

I searched the wiki with the term "amv" and found absolutely nothing... Kinda weird for an anime site to not even mention AMV's.

Does/would bakabt allow say... a collection of AMV's to be uploaded as a torrent if they were all under a common theme? I can see how problems could occur, primarily in copyrighted music. But I know of plenty of comedy AMV's which are to the audio of commercials and old shows or movie trailers/quotes., and some epic ones too.

So yeah, with literally nothing showing up in the search for forums or wiki, what's bakabt's policy on AMV's? And I think it's something which should probably be added to the wiki or FAQ (if not already, and if that's the case... search engine sucks, cause it found the random phrase "I made an AMV once." on the forums, but couldn't find a topic on AMV's).

Imo, AMVs fall under the category fan-made -> not allowed. But wait for another mod's input.

I would agree. AMVs are fan made and not official works. Therefore they would not be allowed.

EDIT: "We only accept complete, Anime/manga-related Series/Movies/OVAs/printed materials. We also allow Live Action adaptations (of anime/manga and related games/eroge/visual novels)." - Wiki

In there it says nothing about AMVs so I am inclined to say no.

We're a tracker for official anime, manga and soundtracks. While it is possible to expand the field to fan-made derivative works, we deliberately chose not to, to avoid spreading ourselves too thin and having to consider factors involved in allowing additional media, e.g. visual novels.

In the meantime, gorge yourself on the music videos we have :) For AMVs, I would suggest a more appropriate community, such as Anime Music Videos.
