I found it on youtube - the engdub/cut.

There will probably be no fansub release, that makes sense, since there was an official hard english dub (well, and in multitude of other languages...)

Okay, some findings:

seems like someone put up a non-official english DVD on sale.

searching youtube, I've found the english dub on youtube and downloaded it all. however, it is split into different files and parts of it are 480p while others are 360p (maybe reencoded by youtube?). I better explore all other options before starting to work with that, though i did download the entire thing and the audio might be usable for some splicing.

seems like the english version has less episodes than the other versions, so that'd mean an engdub release would have to be partial (22 eps vs 26 episodes).
