My dad introduced me to both  :-\
The chaplain for the ship I'm on used to play.
My old rabbi used to read Dragonlance novels.

Yeah, I got my first D&D books before I could even read.

One thing I've discovered, is that pastors, preachers and whatnot, tend to be the most openminded about religous topics, as well as having well founded beliefs. They are some of the only people I can actually enjoy having a religous argument with.
I will agree with you on that for the most part, but I still find ones that are quite locked up and crazy with belief and if it doesn't suit there ideas it is not of god and will not be of them type. They aren't as common as people make them sound but well you still run into them.
its because just like any other really religious person, there are some who are open minded and understand that they may not be able to prove everything but they believe in it completely because thats what they do. They dont force their beliefs on you, or question yours they just do their own thing.

In contrast there is fundamentalists who often do batshit crazy things in ANY RELIGION.

The batshit crazy ones are WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY YYY LESS in numbers then the even remotely normal ones.

Problem is the 1% of batshit crazy ones are way more entertaining so they get airtime
Yeah that is definitely a major factor there. I also know that not all Radical church people are always batshit crazy, which so many people always say it's the radicals. The reason I say this is because my mum goes to a radical church by the church people standards and they aren't like you have to believe.
When Cookies become alcoholics the world has issues, oh wait that has already happened!
When I was growing up I wanted to become a queen, now that I did, I have to avoid brats chasing me with bats.
When the charm wears off, what do you have then?

lol; im curious what was phone picture of?   it wasn't some of that yaoi or loli crap?  hell that would probably set me off.  lol

that pokemon hating preacher was a real dipshit.  if pokemon is an extension of the occult i would love to see his reaction to
say bible black.

i would have loved to rip of is toupee set it on fire and toss him (legs first) into shark infested waters.   i m strongly adverse to these hypocrites-  hell he probably pumped some young child after the sermon.

It's all kinda funny when recently the Pope had to apologize for priests who figure that taking care of little boys involves judicious use of ass rape.

Check out "Indian Residential Schools" for more of the same... for over a century.

I wonder where the ebil is REALLY coming from.

In the end, just figure out which people are retarded and which people aren't and avoid the retarded ones.

Wasn't it "Calvanism" that did this? That pleasure was from the devil and only through hard work, suffering and devotion, would we go to heaven?
(I think Calvanism was also the sect that did all the salem witch trials... but I can't be totally sure)

My mom used to say that about D&D...

Yep, I've heard this often.

They also said this about Heavy Metal.

You seem to fail to understand that unlike western media which has very little aspect of non-child based cartoons, anime touches up on EVERYTHING. That's the issue that needs to be repealed here. Yes, that shit is in anime, but there's a lot of other stuff too.

THAT IS the "good" example of anime you fucking moron. The idea is to show that not all anime is as OP stated in the first post, not convert the fucker. Read the damn thread. Crazy people who are just looking to find fault in things will always show fault. Merely showing anime doesn't change anything.

Showing the anime where that girl comes from might be beneficial... but just randomly showing anime as you have stated Pharis... try thinking harder next time but don't say anything.
