Question

Just a quick quick question about the torrents. Please excuse if this question is like, stupid or answered in the FAQ.
If i download an anime from another place that is also being hosted here (When i see the trackers, it says april/july/months etc. something as a tracker) and after the download, i add in my personal tracker, is this legal for the site? If so, does it only count the upload from whence you put the tracker in, or does it count the recorded upload?

EDIT: If the tracker is added before the torrent is done, does it count the download after the addition, or the recorded ammount?

From whence you add the personal tracker pass in, regardless whether the torrent is still downloading or started seeding...

Though you might want to remove the public tracker first, otherwise it might not report the stats correctly/fully...

Mmm, well i've just added it and no problems seemed to have occurred. But if there is a problem, i'll be sure to delete them, thanks for your answer.

... Read the Wiki. You are actually encouraged to do that if you need a ratio boost.

Quick explanation on the public tracker, though, as I don't think it's covered...
The tracker resets its public key every month. If you happen to be downloading the public torrent with the BakaBT tracker not listing the current month, you will not be able to download from BakaBT's seeders.
If you are, however, lucky enough to get a public torrent with a tracker key that is still valid... That's pretty much self-explanatory.
And yes, once you switch over to the private tracker, your stats begin being recorded. Note, though, that it's easier to just download the torrent from BBT, so you don't have to change DHT to not allowed, etc.

You can get a public key yourself without having to find them on third party sites, but how to do that is plastered everywhere on this forum, and may or may not be covered in the Wiki.
