"The Ferrari of Electric Bikes"
« on: April 27, 2010, 06:52:32 PM »
With all this iphone shit going on, I decided to check out Gizmodo - something I never really did much before.

http://gizmodo.com/5525484/m55-evo+001-is-the-ferrari-of-electric-bikes

I'm looking at this thing.   I see a disgusting ass frame ... with a Fox 40 and a Float DHX on it.

I guess if you put some nice stuff on a piece of shit, you could call it good.   So, how about we strip all the parts off this so-called "bike" and call it a day.   Get a real frame - and you've got a kick ass bike.

LOL.

Man, I wouldn't take this thing on a regular trail - let alone a trail that the parts are designed for.

The assholes are calling it a "luxury bike".   No it's not.  It's shit, with good parts on it.  :P

----

But let me put it another way - Who would you trust to bring you flying down a mountain at 50mph -

http://www.transitionbikes.com/Bikes_TR450.cfm - Same parts, fucking kick ass bike ( $4700, as pictured. )

or

The value model

http://www.bikesale.com/2010-kona-stab-deluxe.aspx - ( $3000 )

or

Lemonparty

http://www.m55-bike.com/

I predict if you put those parts to their intended use on THAT street frame, you'd be planted face-first on a boulder with your brains pouring out of your ears.   They're just slapping shit on it for looks and higher cost! XD

I bet the transition cost half of the lemonparty 55.    Because kicks fucking ass != luxury.

wouldnt trust either of those going down any kind of terrain that wasnt smooth street

for a mountain bike i prefer to stick with brands i know and love from my bmx days who also make really nice mountain bikes. I personally own a 1400$ schwin from when they were still schwin.

Although the likes of specialized, GT, raleigh, cannondale, etc.
