--- Quote from: NaRu on April 09, 2011, 04:08:55 AM ---Today I started up a new Tankadin. First time tanking as a paladin. So far I like it but I have a little annoying story to go with it. Now since it was my first time tanking (level 15) Im taking it a little slow. I see this warlock in our party sending out his voidwalker into the fight and its stealing aggro from me. So I ask him to change pets to the imp. He didnt respond then he goes off pulling with his void walker. Everyone else was asking him to switch and stop. Then he says that I shouldnt be losing aggro if his pet attacks. After about 3 pulls on his own we decided to let him die.

As for as me tanking with a paladin Im starting to like the play out.

Most of the monsters at low level are not threatening to damage dealing players. If his voidwalker is taking aggro from a boss (single target) for example, then I can see that as an issue. But I've played a lot on those low levels and it's not much of an issue unless the healer calls it out. If anything, you can let him tank it and ask the healer not to heal his pet.

I'm trying to level my DK so I can have a 3rd 85 but I'm so lazy to level him. Instead, I'm either raiding or PvPing ... mostly PvPing.

My issue was my addon for tanking. It tells me when something isnt attacking me or I lost aggro. It was more annoying then anything thats all. What was pissing everyone else was he was going out pulling monsters on his own.

I use tidy plates addon which colors the ones I have aggro on (blue I think?) and colors the ones I lost aggro on as red or orange (I forgot). I don't tank much, but Tidy Plates is a good addon if you haven't tried it.

I will give it a shot. Right now Im using TauntMaster which does the samething but if I click on the player that has aggro I will taunt that monster back

Havoc10K:
that is a very good addon, especially for warior tanks, I often see how wariors easily lose aggro, their aggro forming ability sets aren't done very well, low level tanking isn't much of an issue though, like tatsu said, unless the healer starts making problems about it then it's fine, as long as healer is not the target it's all good, hell, I was tanking as a rogue for 5 levels, up until level 40 you don't really need to worry about losing aggro too much, Zul Farrak is the place where good tanks can have a blast of fun though, if you have an imba healer you can constantly add mobs to your aggro count :)

Paladins are quite the tanks gotta say, mine is lvl 75, I have a DK tank 85 lvl heroic geared, funny how my hp is only higher than mages hp due to blood presence :P (and gems/enchants) blizz didn't really thought this out, I mean, plate and cloth most of the time have exactly the same stamina, difference is only power stats, i'm healing on my shaman in my DPS gear without any problems or worries about mana, the game really needs a balance update, at least for specc/stat, if not for power balance.
