That screen shot was long ago, before the LFD buffs.  But the real reason I took that pic was to show that archaeology buff.  Was the first time ever using it.  Look at how low everyone's dps was, other than mine.  We were all in blues (though I did have my epic goggles).  Also shows that the final boss can be done without high dps.

Now with epic gear and LFD buffs, it's like wrath all over again.  No need for CC, just aoe everything.

--- Quote ---I mow down all the trash in few seconds as an Arms Warrior. Then, on boss fight, I am DPSing as if I'm 2 or 2.5 people in one person. I'm glad they're making Mortal Strike to re-apply Rend on your target. :) PvP is going to be easier for Arms, with the exception of the silly nerf to Colossus Smash.

Warriors are amazing with AoE.  Which made us locks sad when they nerfed ours to nothing (unless Demo...then they nerfed demo..wtf).  Well, they finally are giving locks aoe a buff again, but too late for me ;)

Demo is fucking crazy. We get like two or three Demo locks for Maloriak or whatever his name is. They're also superb for Cho'galls Black Slimes (we BoP our locks, they go in and smoke them to pieces). Destro locks are also crazy good for single targets. I know they nerfed the locks down in 4.0.6 or something which was bad. But they're rebuffing some of you damage in 4.1.0. I also agree, they don't listen to what we want. They keep dumping the game down.

But we all know why the fuck they're doing this shit. Two reasons (1) shitty and half-assed players (casuals in general) keep QQing about how hard it is. Makes me sigh ... (2) because WoW is so focused to balance all characters around Arenas. Really Blizzard? ...

Anyways, D3 will not focus on Arenas so I hope they live up to their terms.

--- Quote from: Stsin on April 11, 2011, 09:51:47 AM ---Yea, it's the senseless nerfs that made me leave.  I'm fine with PvE, but PvP got destroyed   Taking away our healing synergy, drain mana, etc.   In arenas they dispel my Unstable Affliction like it's nothing.  But then I atleast had drain mana to use if they kept using up their mana doing so.  That's gone and they even reduce the silence for dispelling it.  Plus our dots are now pathetic.  45 minute draws in arena is not fun.  When the days of affliction dots are a joke compared to other classes dots and bleeds, I figured it was time to leave.

But it was not as bad as what they did to warriors in PvP.  My friend had enough of being totally useless to noob frostmages and was the one that convinced me to try a game I never heard before, called Rift.

--- End quote ---
My Rend and Deep Wounds don't do so much damage, but overtime they do hurt. Considering one full round of Rend could deal damage about 10-15% on 3K+ resi players.

--- End quote ---
d3 better not even have arenas as open pvp was kinda the whole thing in diablo 2 that was so awesome
if they ruin it by making it more like wows shitty pvp it will kill the game for me

--- End quote ---
Blizzard says they're not going to balance shit around D3 Arenas like how they did it with WoW. So that is good for us. The PVP stuff, before you make a game, you can toggle if you want to allow people to toggle PvP towards other players or uncheck it, creating a safe non-PvP game.

Sebur:
I've heard WOW is supposed to be a lot less of a grinder than it was when it was first released.
Would you guys still consider it a heavy grinder game though? How long does it take to get to the end game now etc.

SEBS!

It's less to grind, easier to level but when you reach 85 and you want stuff from PvE or PvP content it takes time -- PvP does, but PvE if your smart enough to play your toon and get inside a good raiding guild you'll get your epics.

TATSU :3

I think I will wait and try swtor if that's the case, I end up quitting all grind games cuz I'm lazy :<

Havoc10K:
the grind is easy in wow actually, once you can enter BGs and your side wins you get around 90-60 k experience, xp points for every capture and kill, etc, i am leveling all my alts atm in pvp, since until lvl 70, pvp gear is far superior to pve (even tanking gear :P) it took me 4 days to get from lvl 30 to 66 on my rogue, i'm now honor capped and trying to buy stuff for myself in there to keep the honor flowing is hard, i'm waiting till I get to lvl 70 so I can buy the rogue set and weapons for my rogue from PVP vendors :)

But I'm waiting for SWTOR as well, i'm gonna play the Jedi or Bounty hunter, depending on how I will like it, but the concept of the jedi not being a tank is funny lol :D
