Warcraft Cataclysm
Havoc10K:
Not accurate, Cataclysm alone was good and would hold out if Blizzard didn't go [newb] mode again. If they left Cataclysm as challenging as it was at start a lot of hardcore players would not quit the game and Blizzard would have a lot of happy customers. Instead HC players come back to the game after the patch and see it's even worse than it was. Also, why the horses ?
Y?

Speaking in reality - Cataclysm didn't do it right. In fact, there weren't a lot of amazing new things. Patch 4.3 is introducing some cool new things that SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the Expansion from the beginning. Path of the Titans was also removed which was a huge disappointment. They still haven't introduced Runestones or Charms to the game or something similar. That's Blizzards problem - ontop of trying to adjust everything to PvP and completely making the Warrior class the most kited class in the game, besides the horrific nerfs they've given to them.
Havoc10K:
I disagree, recent implementations into the game were supposed to be there since the beginning of WOW.
Cataclysm was good for only 3 weeks from it's start, then it was starting to be another WotLK, which is why I left the game with most of my guild.
Balance of classes is not important, it never was for Blizzard. As long as their pet class lock can kill everything, and as long as horde wins most of the Battlegrounds they don't give a shit.
You really think runes and charms will be implemented at all ? Before Titan ? i highly doubt that.
Stuff that was supposed to be in the game since TBC was only recently graciously handed down to players in late WotLK, like dungeon finder for starters.
Blizzard doesn't care, and they never will. As long as you guys pay them they will just take a rabbit out of the hat every few months to keep you in the game with something that should have been there and finally is there. I think that the biggest mistake is giving Deathwing already, but that only shows how easy the game has become. And you will probably hear about the new expansion pretty soonish.
I think the new expansion news will come out around new years or soon after.
I really wish they simply replaced the entire engine. Wow is being developed probably in the slowest manner in all MMOs.

I've started to play WoW on a regular basis again just recently, after having been 'away' for a number of months.
I finally managed to get my Warrior to lvl 85 and got one of those 'random invites' to a guild that happen to high lvl players from time to time.
So far it's been pretty good and just the other day the guild boss and myself joined what was basically a RAID PUG and we did a few raids from WotLK, which were a lot of fun.
We did the Obsidian Sanctum raid in Wyrmrest and it must have been the fastest it's ever been done. Last time I did that particular raid it must have taken a good half hour or so, this time.....10 minutes, tops.
As for the game being easy..... not if you have a tendency to being a 'Lone Wolf' like I do.
The only real gripe I have with the game, is that it seems everyone has gotten it into their heads that a toons 'iLevel' or average item level is important enough to make a serious difference in an instance.
There are LOTS of people who will kick you from a PUG if your ilevel isn't high enough.
On another note, I'd like to see the game engine upgraded myself. It has been around for ages, but we must remember that if they do upgrade the game engine, all of the graphics must be upgraded as well, which equals some pretty big downloads if it happens.
Havoc10K:
Well, it's like re-installing the game really. I install games from Blizz by Downloading them from them, doesn't really take much time.
WotLK pugs are easy at 85. ilvl is for pansies, real players still have a decent ilvl even if they just play the game and have skill, that is enough to get you some good gear eventually. It's so easy to gear up a 85lvl character it pains me. The biggest problem I see is that on the top tier gear all classes have pretty much the same HP level. Tanks used to have highest, but after DEF rating got revoked they simply left things with stamina not being the big issue for tanks :P
