Looking for encoding tutorials

(1/1)

HiddenJumper:
I'm looking for encoding tutorials for avisynth and vobsub; mainly avisynth. I know the basics of avisynth and how to make a script but I'm looking into more advance stuff as it applies to fansub encodes. For example taking a ts and encoding it to mkv/avi for HD and SD releases. I'm also looking for MeGUI advance tutorials. I use MeGUI constantly but I still don't know some of the features it has. It works fine for my encodes when I make an AMV, but beyond that is limbo.

Reason I ask for some help is because I want to get it so I can offer my services to fansub groups in the future when I get good enough at it. I have a powerful computer that's not being used to it's potential so I figure this is the best job in fansubbing that I can do.

Put it to good use, folding@HOME.

Try asking in doom10.org

HiddenJumper:
eh, doom10 doesn't have much, but i did scour doom9's forum but alot of the stuff there is like trying to speak Russian to an American; I just couldn't understand it.

That's why I said ask. The people in there are more noob friendly than doom9. And the rules in there are much more relaxed. Doom9's guides are pretty old too.
