Video playback on a netbook

Yeah, it's pretty much the *only* decoder that works. Neither my desktop nor netbook accelerates on anything else on 1080p. Hover i'm getting artifacts on quite a few videos and the updated drivers didn't seem to help. I'm just gonna keep trying out the settings :)

As in all the effects are shown but CPU usage is still reduced? Cool.

so basically my netbook does have a hard time with 1080p video when processing it directly. I set up my desktop to trans-code the on the file on the fly (almost like streaming) to my netbook.

First video was using the DivX h264 decoder. After that, i blocked it and set the Microsoft DTVDVD to preferred so i can use DXVA.

Any suggestions on how to get it to play properly?

I don't think CPU usage is reduced. Just kind of spread out. It can make things better or worse.
