What button and where? I don't see a button at the end of the directory name display on either Bittorrent nor any of my files

you did step 2 right? you should have a "add new torrent" window open at that point.

--- Quote from: JerkFaceBand on May 12, 2010, 11:16:47 PM ---4.In Windows Explorer, make sure the filenames in the folder match the filenames in the torrent filelist.
1.If some/all of the filenames do not match, BitTorrent allows you to relocate them, so as to avoid renaming. How?

see quoted part below.

see quoted part above.

What?

Sorry, but are you just not following the guide? i don't know how to phrase it any less bluntly.

--- Quote from: JerkFaceBand on May 12, 2010, 11:16:47 PM ---6.Right-click on it, and select "Force recheck". BitTorrent will now scan the selected folder for matching files, so if the files are the same and still have the same filenames you should see the progress bar start filling up.

No clue how to get to this point.

I've never had to do more than double click and the program has done the rest. aside from typing and installing new hardware, components, and the occasional motherboard I know squat about anything on my computer. I've had to learn all this junk by asking questions, gettion shocked or cut or burned, and making lots of mistakes.

I don't have an option to relocate the file when I right click on it.
so what do I do just click Add?

*EDIT* I just realized that I've been opening the torrents in Limewire instead of Bittorrent. DOH! face/palm.

Ok so I still don't have an option to relocate the file when I right Click. so do I just click OK or did I do something wrong again?

JerkFaceBand:
Ok. I think I got it to work. If it doesn't then you can look forward to more dumbass questions until I get it right. Otherwise how will I learn?

JerkFaceBand:
Damn! I ran into a little snag. could someone email me the SFV file for the [a4e]Witch_Hunter_Robin_ 1-26 torrent? If I can get that file I should be good right?

*EDIT*

Double Damn something went wrong with the other file I wanted to seed Noien. something didnt fully cross over. is there a way to fix that if I can't download the missing bits? Noien is stopped at 98.7% and [a4e]Witch_Hunter_Robin_ 1-26  is stopped at 99.9% cause I dont have the sfv file. I just can't seem to win!

1. This is not your fault, but torrents on BBT shouldn't include SFV files. This one happens to have one, but whatever.

2. Just start the torrent by right-clicking and clicking start. You'll download the missing file (which is almost nothing) and start seeding.

3. Don't post more than once at a time in succession on the forums - people get annoyed. I'm not one of those people, but... it is in the rules, so try to follow them.
