I found this one on newegg for pretty cheap, but was wondering if there was something else I could get under the 1000$ range that's better.
Edit: just found this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157113
Perplexing:
Well assuming you are wanting to spend close to the $1000.00 range both of your choices would be find. I would lean more towards the Lenovo only because it has a slightly
better graphics chip. Everything else is the same. Also the price is $100.00 less (oh and I hate HP/Compaq, & Dell).
But on that note Toshiba (which I currently own a nice Toshiba myself) has a rather nice laptop.

For the same price as the Lenovo and it has a similar possibly slightly better graphics chip.
All of which feature the same Core i7 720Qm CPU, 500GB HDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM

I'm not a fan of HP at all... except their business notebooks. Those are sexy and have good build quality.
