Tom Hanks marathon.
fohfoh:
I started to hate Tom Hanks after a while. Especially in The DaVinci Code.

His acting was ok previously, and I enjoyed watching his earlier roles. But later on, his roles became stagnant. He holds the exact same poise each time and almost facial expression. Only his costumes change. Davinci code bored me to death. His acting there sucked (or was repetitive) and he had the balls to say, "I'm as famous as Jesus Christ?" Not that that comment annoys me, but the attitude. This guy doesn't realize how full of shit he has become and he has the balls to think people are excited to see him on the same level of... Sean Connery? Please.
Connery is a good marathon guy. Diverse roles, great acting... he is the legend.
Tom Hanks... He's a cardboard cut out. Same level as Robin Williams but with more work.

i do agree his roles have become less diverse, partly i guess because he has lost his boy-ish look and partly because, like you said, he now looks at himself in a different way
but more importantly the world now views him in a different way
an example: the fresh prince of bel air was quite succesful, but did you ever see poor carlton banks (i don't know his actual name, go figure) again? he will carry that character around for the rest of his life
with connery it was the same as he got older: he usually took the same roles and did them the same way as well
always the more quiet, but smart roles and his character is always good with words despite being a relatively quiet character
always the same facial expressions as well, he has one for serious roles and one where he smiles a lot for his witty roles
they are definitely both legends but, in my opinion, neither can even begin to compare to actors like edward norton or kevin spacey
now there's some great and diverse actors
mgz:
TURNER AND HOOCH
well really most of his comedy roles were pretty entertaining movies IMO a majority of the other movies he does i think are kinda boring
