But yet I loved almost all his movies. I've come to the conclusion that he is a good actor, even if I cannot point out why that is. That, or he just gets casted in very good movies all the time.

Yeah, I agree on some level. But my two favorite directors are Kurosawa and Scorcese, while they have many fantastic movies, a lot seem to be in the same category with each other (Scorcese with mob movies and Kurosawa with Samurai movies).
Not sure how everyone feels about this actor, but I think Leonardo DiCaprio is a very diverse actor, and can play many roles. I love a lot of movies that he is in.

however with a little bit of scheduling you can watch similar genre movies and spread them out or pick 2 solid directors/writers and mix it up.
One of my better movie marathons was kubric scorcese and i prolly butchered both names
but you do stuff like that and get a solid marathon mixing it up

he is
many good movies, diverse roles and good performances
can't disagree more about cage though, in my opinion he has a handful of good movies and/or performances and that's about all he has, his roles/performances are not diverse at all

I'm just saying IMO, I'd rather watch Cage than Hanks. Personal preference. Even if he sucks, at least there's violence to cover it up. Hanks? Rarely.
Roven:
Tom Hanks in: The Terminal, Cast Away, Forrest Gump...
Can someone Honestly think of any better actors to play these roles??
Maybe Charlie Chaplin.... ;D
Nicolas Cage dropped dead for me when I watched Bangkok Dangerous, Knowing, Next, Ghost Rider.....and more actually, -excluding National Treasure- 6 years in a row 2003-2008 not a single decent (not voice casting) movie, WTH?
(personal opinion)
OniSamurai:
I thought Knowing was very good, up until the ending. That ending was so horrible that it killed the entire movie for me.
But someone who's been in:
The Rock
Con Air
Gone in Sixty Seconds
National Treasure
(I'd name more, but those are his biggest roles)
Can't be a bad actor. But like I said, I still can't figure it out, I always thought he was bad but he has such good movies.
