now you're comparing maybe a 5 year old to that champion weight lifter.

Miku Hatsune is way bigger than Touhou will ever be.

Oh,

Oh.

Oh you make me fucking laugh, I'm going to be blunt about this, but if you don't knwo what you're talking about, don't talk about it, you make yourself seem stupid.

I'm also a decent veteran of Miku fandom (starting in 08) but trust me, what you call "a huge fanbase" of miku, touhou can outdo, outmake, outnumber, and outsource Miku in every aspect, every form, every category there ever is.

Yes, even music, no, ESPECIALLY music.

^Earth Calls Pingry and Tomoya! Get back to the Topic!

I've been reading manga online for a while now, but I still think that actual paperback is a lot better.

Miku continues to grow, even if she has no boobs.

When Miku get's it's own damn convention like Comiket like touhou does (Reitaisai with an average of around 40k attendees or when Miku get's over 800 circles DEDICATED to her at Comiket (which has a maximum of 1500), tell me I'll be waiting.

Basically half of comiket is dominated by touhou. Miku? eh, maybe 5 or 10 circles.

Not half of Comiket.  That's an exaggeration.  We need a third party opinion here.

Comon, Miku has 2 PSP games!  And some political party tried to license her for their campaign!

No, I have links if you need them, over 800 of the circles at C78 were touhou based.

Also touhou is made and run by ONE man, to be more specific, an underweight alcoholic.

Miku is made by I believe Yamaha corporations? which is what? one of the largest music related companies out there?

Alright we take the discussion elsewhere now Tomoya, I don't want to get banned quite yet.

Idk, I buy my manga, support the industry and all that happy fun stuff but for some unknown reason, I don't have the urge to buy Naruto/Bleach/One Piece anymore even tho I follow it online every week.

I used to buy Naruto and Bleach up to vol43 and vol36 respectively. Never bought one piece before. :s

I think I've bought volumes of two manga before.  I got a few volumes of Ragnarok a long time ago, because I played Ragnarok Online and was curious about the manga it was (incredibly loosely) based on.  Also, I bought one or two volumes of Trigun.

I usually just shamelessly pirate the stuff, though.

Buying crap will encourage the industry to produce more crap.

Tomoya, all of those 3 are good as a manga. When Speaking about series, Bleach sucks, Naruto Sucks and One Piece is awesome.

What is legal is available in local bookstores, those of somewhat questionable content..... I grab them some place else.
I used to be able to find H-manga here locally but the shop closed down so I'm stuck with scans for now.

One thing for sure that torrented manga can never give is the thrill and excitement of finding good and cheap manga at book sales.

My story today:

I was on my way to work when I walked past a sign outside the exhibition center that there was a MPH Bookstore warehouse sales going on in one of the halls.

It puzzled me as I was sure that the event should be held in November instead. But I went in and checked anyway. And Lo and behold! thousands of books placed messily on make shift tables awaited me inside.

Naturally, I headed for a "Manga" section. No Tokyopop titles. Meh, No Viz books as well, but wait, whats that? Delrey books! Delrey books eveeeerywhere! It was waaaaaaonder land!

I looked for a price list. $10 for graphic novels. $5 for Manga. Oh boy! Only 5 bucks! Thats...US$3.80 per sealed brand new manga! And not even counting shipping costs!

Spent 30mins looking around. Picked up Zetsubou sensei 2,3,4,5(Extra copy) and xxxholic 7,8

Feels good man
