I use Windows Home Server on a separate system and use Windows Media Center to play it on my TVs

the thread's title is/was so cryptic and confusing i felt compelled to drop by.

Uh... I used something called a brain. Honestly, it's not that difficult to know what you have and have not watched before. If not by name, then at least by the first 30 seconds of watching.

strange indeed- it seems i also have a brain and all pertinent information is stored away for instant recall; which isn't hard since i am only watching one current anime series and primarily dl for archive purposes.   i do update MAL here and there.

i steal er procure said goods then put them into my Anime folder which alphabetically organizes all series.   i occasionally perform cleanup and burn stuff to dvd's for archival purposes in case of a nuclear attack etc.   you never know these days.

I also use MAL updater. I have it running in the background and its linked to my folders and online anime list. All I do is click 'Play Next' and it finds it and plays the next episode that I am up to. It then updates my list accordingly.

how does that work exactly- i am on MAL but can't recall reading about that feature.   perhaps i need to take back my brain comment.

I use this: http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Tiffanys

you are going to love "Body Transfer".  great stuff, truly.   :D

.... really, how hard is it to figure out? what? Do you have a folder with a whole whack of mixed eps or something?
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

Well I use Vuze so i can assign torrent categories such as "watch", "save for a rainy day", "bonus points" this way all you have to do is keep your torrent client up and running so you can keep seeding and it will also allow you to keep track. But usually i just do what dbml does...
Oh yay. Another Vuze user (becoming rare).
I use Vuze - Classic UI for that same reason. :D

I know which drive is which because my 500GB drive is F: drive and my 640GB drive is S: drive. :P

I have a wonderful system to get around the anime I have on comp - delete all the things you have watched and keep links to unwatched, but downloaded stuff in utorrent.
Its quite nice, you do not need to re-download or something the trorrent when you move the thing and you keep on seeding until you watch it(it is good to seed right?). Its not like I watch the anime at the moment when I download it (well sometime, then I just remember what I have seen).
To keep track on which episode I sopped watching I just mark normal/hight priority in utorrent file list.
And to keep track of seen but deleted anime I just mark them as seen in anidb.net. It might be a bit unfair, because there are something like 30-60 animes I have but haven't seen, but then again - I will watch it if its worth watching and I might even rate it if I am up to it :D
